ABOUT THE ROLE

As an Infrastructure engineer, you’ll be responsible for scaling computational needs for Aaru and its customers.

The Infrastructure team owns scalability and continuous improvement of all systems across the company, ensuring faster and better decision-making.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and build high-performance, low-latency infrastructure systems
• Optimize and manage reliability of complex data ingestion pipelines
• Identify inefficiencies across system design and solve them via infrastructure
• Collaborate on architecture and implementation of scalable solutions

TypeScript, Python, FastAPI, Rust, Linear, Sentry

• You’ve built applications or frameworks loved by engineering teams
• You care deeply about performance, developer experience, and reliability
• You’ve worked with research teams to productionize experiments
• You have infrastructure-level problem-solving experience
• You’re familiar with algebraic type systems
• You understand networking protocol limitations

• Experience with cloud primitives
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (HTTP, TLS, etc.)
• Experience optimizing long-running computational pipelines

We work in a monorepo (aaru) that includes platform, tools, and simulation systems.

Engineers collaborate across Research, Product & Design, and customer work.

• Python, TypeScript (primary)
• Rust (performance-critical areas)
• GitHub, Linear, Sentry, Incident.io

Based in New York City.

• In-person company
• 6 days/week in office
• Relocation expected if not local
