DevOps Engineer

The ideal candidate

The ideal candidate should be a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with several years of hands-on experience in managing systems and IT infrastructure, with a strong focus on automation and security. The candidate should be proficient in various DevOps tools and methodologies, infrastructure as code, and cloud services. Familiarity with software development processes, system architectures, build procedures, and CI/CD pipelines is a must.

You will

• Understand business and technical requirements from stakeholders and suggest the most suitable solution architecture, including choice of tools/services and cost estimation
• Facilitate the development process and operations
• Help develop and maintain automated processes, tools, and documentation
• Highlight risks and challenges and suggest alternative tools, solutions, or approaches when applicable
• Design, build, and maintain optimal CI/CD pipelines using Groovy, Job DSL, etc.
• Be responsible for overall Kubernetes setup and configuration
• Design and develop moderately complex software solutions using Golang, Python, etc.
• Develop, test, and deploy Azure infrastructure using Terraform
• Handle configuration management using Ansible
• Develop SQL queries to research, analyze, and troubleshoot data and ETL loads
• Collaborate with Developers, Operations teams, DBAs, platform engineers, and other SMEs to define efficient practices and tools
• Educate team members and key stakeholders on Cloud technologies and influence solution direction

Your skills

• 6+ years of industry experience, with 4+ years in DevOps tools and practices
• Up-to-date knowledge of DevOps and GitOps tools and technologies
• Expertise with version control systems (Git, GitHub)
• Expertise in creating CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins)
• Expertise in designing, creating, and implementing Terraform modules
• Strong experience in infrastructure management and monitoring
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Good understanding of Azure services
• Working knowledge of Azure Synapse Analytics
• Strong knowledge of at least one programming language (Golang, Python, etc.)
• Proficiency with AWS RDS, Azure, and Databricks

Nice to have

• Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert
• AWS Data Engineering certification
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain analytical and technical content clearly
• Experience with Agile development, technical design and specification, User Story and Task writing
• Basic knowledge of insurance, asset management, or services processes and related data
• Ability to deliver high-quality results under time constraints and concurrent tasks
• Outstanding verbal and written English communication skills
