Job Overview
As a Rust Engineer focused on AI Agent Development, you will play a key role in designing and building the core intelligence layer of our next-generation cybersecurity platform.
Your primary mission will be the development of distributed, production-grade AI agents capable of autonomous reasoning, decision-making, orchestration, and secure interaction across IoT and edge environments.
You will architect and implement the backend systems that enable AI agents to operate reliably at scale — integrating LLMs, reasoning pipelines, telemetry streams, and secure device communication into a cohesive, high-performance platform.
This role includes strong architectural ownership, shaping how our AI-driven cybersecurity platform evolves across multiple products and real-world deployments.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop the core AI Agent framework powering autonomous cybersecurity capabilities.
- Implement high-performance backend services in Rust to support agent execution, state management, and distributed coordination.
- Design robust APIs enabling secure interaction between agents, devices, and external services.
- Architect event-driven infrastructures that allow AI agents to process telemetry and trigger real-time actions.
- Develop memory architectures (short-term, long-term, contextual) for AI agents operating in dynamic environments.
- Integrate LLMs and reasoning engines into production-safe, observable, and controllable systems.
- Ensure reliability, observability, and security of agent pipelines (metrics, tracing, logging, guardrails).
- Model complex multi-tenant data systems supporting AI-driven workflows across products.
- Collaborate with security, product, and DevOps teams to ensure safe deployment of AI-driven capabilities.
- Drive architectural decisions regarding the AI platform's modularity, extensibility, and long-term evolution.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in backend, distributed systems, or platform engineering.
- Strong proficiency in Rust, with deep knowledge of concurrency, performance, and systems design.
- Experience designing and deploying AI-powered systems or agent-based architectures in production.
- Solid understanding of LLM integration patterns, reasoning loops, tool-use frameworks, and AI orchestration.
- Experience building event-driven or message-based distributed systems.
Nice to Have
- Strong API design skills (REST/gRPC), including versioning and cross-service communication.
- Experience with data modeling for complex, multi-tenant or multi-product environments.
- Familiarity with telemetry pipelines and high-throughput data processing.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, and Linux environments.
- Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS or equivalent) is preferred.
- Strong understanding of security principles, including authentication, encryption, identity management, and safe AI deployment practices.
- Ability to own systems end-to-end, from architecture to production operations.
- Background in cybersecurity, IoT, or edge computing is preferred.
