Senior Accountant (EMEA - Remote)

TLDR; We build software for short-term rentals to rent themselves, with a state-of-the-art product and user experience. Hospitable is a remote-only, global, trust-based company. The Senior Accountant will take ownership of month-end close workstreams and help move toward a 5-day month-end close through reconciliations, tighter controls, and process improvement. Responsibilities include: run close workstreams end-to-end (multi-entity) including journal entries, reconciliations, schedules and variance explanations; maintain audit-ready working papers; own bank and cash reconciliations across 20+ bank/payment accounts (multi-entity, multi-currency); drive open items to resolution and prevent recurring recon breaks; monitor and resolve subscription revenue flow issues (Chargebee → NetSuite) and support NetSuite revenue recognition execution and troubleshooting; help keep Payhawk clean going into close and enforce/improve Payhawk submission process; own balance sheet integrity for assigned accounts (prepaids, accruals, intercompany); document SOPs/checklists, tighten controls and reduce manual work; provide ad hoc accounting/finance support including analysis, audit asks, and tax return preparation support as needed. Requirements: 5+ years in accounting with month-end close ownership; strong reconciliation and documentation discipline; ERP experience (NetSuite strongly preferred); comfortable working in fast-moving remote environment.
