Lead AI Engineer

AI is central to 360Learning's strategy. The AI Squad ships agentic features that help users discover, create, and administrate content, including Catalog Companion, Smart Search, Conversational BI, AI Course & Question Generation, and Content Recommendations. This hands-on leadership role will drive the technical vision for AI in the product, coach and grow AI Engineers, set technical direction, own architectural decisions, and deliver end-to-end AI features. Responsibilities include contributing to code (Pydantic AI, FastAPI, Azure OpenAI, ElasticSearch), optimizing cost and latency, scaling features, leading performance reviews and career path assessments, prototyping advanced capabilities, and keeping ~80% hands-on while also coaching. Required skills: 4+ years building GenAI/LLM-powered systems from prototype to production, experience as a tech lead or mentor, strong Python, hands-on integration with LLMs (Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral), familiarity with search/RAG/semantic search/vector DBs, agents, LLM observability (e.g., Langfuse), model evaluation, machine learning fundamentals, and a product-oriented mindset. English fluency required. Compensation: package includes base salary, variable component and equity; benefits include WFH stipend and other perks.
